Am I guaranteed a job after my apprenticeship?

When apprenticeship schemes finish, employers have two choices. They can either keep you on with a permanent contract offer of employment including paying you a full salary or let you go. This decision is usually based on how well you performed during the apprenticeship.

So what does this mean for apprenticeships?

Although the company you completed your apprenticeship with may decide not to keep you on or alternatively you choose to leave, there is something you’ll have gained that will always open doors for you. You’ll leave your apprenticeship with a year’s or more experience in your field and a portfolio to enable you to apply for any job you want in your field.
