PRISONER TO YOUR MIND
Over the past couple of weeks, I have been trying to reprogram and renew my mind. I have been listening to sermons (Christian preachings), reading and surrounding myself with like-minded people.
It is said that everything starts in the mind; fear, failure even success.
For a long time, I was afraid of doing my theory test. I downloaded the App for two years. My brother even used it and passed but I had built up a fear of failing. After two years I said to myself “if I fail I can do it again till I pass, so what’s there to be afraid of?” Long story short, I did it and passed after studying for just two weeks.
So what’s my point?
My mindset was programmed with fear. When you’re afraid to fail you can NEVER succeed. Failing allows you to learn, grow and approach things from another perspective.
Some people believe not going to university is a fail. But for me, I see it as a success because I have placed my mind in a place of opportunities and risk-taking.
Tips I have adapted:
1. I read a leadership chapter before starting my day
2. I plan my day based on my goals
3. I access each day (productivity)
4. I try to achieve something towards my goal every day
5. I pray every night before I sleep
These 5 steps have changed not only my mindset but also my life. It keeps me in check with MY race and helps me from comparing my life to others.
This week I want you to reprogram your mind.
Where is your mindset right now?
What thoughts stop you from achieving your best potential?
How will you reprogram your mind?
