SACRIFICES FOR SUCCESS

SACRIFICES FOR SUCCESS

New month ... New you?
Welcome to May, everyone!

This blog has been on my mind. I wanted to write something educational but all I could think about are the sacrifices I made before establishing a good career.

Regardless, of where are in life there always has to be an element of sacrifice. When I started BW-advice I was an apprentice. The pay was horrible and I had an extra job side to make extra income. I knew I wanted to do I but also had a full-time job that didn’t allow me to have enough time.  My family thought I was always going out to party when I was networking or gaining experiences for my blog. In order to make the time I had to sacrifice my social life and the things, I love to buy... I would fill up my shopping, but I won’t be able to buy all because I would have to pay for shoots, blog subscriptions and editor. (Still had to pay for my bills, look after myself and have enough money to attend events. It was HARD!)

When I was in my apprenticeship I was also doing a course and an internship.

Why may you ask?
I knew the world of work will be hard and my CV would have to stand out amongst everyone that went to university. The only way I could accumulate my experience and show passion was by having other extra curriculum activities that people may not have gone out the way to get. This was a huge sacrifice. I would go to work, attend an extra course at a college and do my internship.
What was sleep? I was like a Zombie in 2017.
In fact, I was hardly ever out but I knew it was part the sacrifice I had to make and it will only be for awhile because I HAD A PLAN.
I lived by this scripture: “God’s plans for me are plans of good not eve to bring me to an expected end.”

I want you to know that in everything you must sacrifice something. Sometimes and most times you’re not comfortable but as long as you can see the end goal, you know where you’re going to and you believe in yourself (which is the most important factor) you will definitely make it.

So this new month I urge you to make some changes that cause you to be uncomfortable, in that uncomfortable situation will you be able to see your full potential and by seeing your full potential, you would then be able to push through and find purpose.

There are no shortcuts to success. But, if you sacrifice strategically everything will fall into place at the right time.
